Finding the Driving Edge of Startup Talent

Daimler, a partner of Startupbootcamp Smart Transportation, owner of Mercedes Benz and the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in the world, came to us looking for startups that could help them gain an edge against competition and stay up to date on emerging technology.

We sourced over 1,000 startups from across 18 countries and identified a number of forces that are shaping the future of transportation and mobility.

Staying In the Fast Lane

As cars have become connected, electric and autonomous, Daimler has recognized that they must identify new innovations early in order to stay at the forefront of current technological advancements.

Our challenge was to find the next generation of startups that could help Daimler overtake their competition.

With this in mind, Daimler asked us to source startup talent, and identify trends that are driving innovation within the smart mobility space.

¡Hola Brazil!

Our sourcing team screened startups from around the globe. And, identified the most interesting startups for Daimler.

Beginning with a world wide scope, we quickly identified Europe and Brazil as exciting areas for new talent.

Responding to global trends, we saw that Brazil’s growth had opened up new markets and created untapped opportunities for startups. In particular, urbanization and rapid population growth present problems that startups are actively finding innovative solutions to. This led us to a new hotbed of talent that was generally underrepresented in mainstream sources.
