Startupbootcamp FinTech’s 2015 Trend Report highlighted a decrease in the volume of quality startups in the payments space. However, around 60% of UK respondents to a PwC Global FinTech survey think consumer banking and payments are going to be the most disrupted sectors over the next five years. Payments used to define what the industry thought of as FinTech disruption. However, new entrants to the market may have underestimated the relative complexity of payments. Will we see a new payments era emerge that is stronger, more mature and, at last, truly disruptive?What’s the matter with payments? will be an interactive, think tank style roundtable where you can hear from industry experts to debate and discuss the current state of the industry as well as future trends with your peers.
