Innovation in the financial supply chain – How can banks find opportunities for innovation in the changing face of the supply chain?

In the post-digital, global economy, corporate and commercial clients are both importers and exporters; supply chains are deeper and more fragmented and access to trade credit is being squeezed. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Standard Definitions for Techniques of Supply Chain Finance pave the way for greater adoption and commonality in supply chain finance and bank assisted open account offerings.

Supply chains for many of your corporate clients are multi-layered and complex, with difficulties in obtaining visibility, connectivity or sufficient risk information across all parties involved. Visibility of the so-called “long tail” is crucial for reducing transaction risk. In many areas, supply chains are getting shorter and they need to be dynamic, fast, agile and data-centric. The emergence of cloud platforms, new marketplaces, eDocs and new standards now provide the ecosystem for banks and new entrants to revolutionise the market. But collaboration is king.

Innovation in the financial supply chain, will be an interactive, think tank style roundtable, sponsored by Misys. Industry experts and supply chain professionals will debate and discuss the current state of the industry as well as future trends. Please join us at the Rainmaking Loft to be a part of this series of thought-provoking Rainmaking Sessions, on trends that are shaping our industry.
